• By 2025, 1.8 billion people will live in areas plagued by absolute water scarcity
• Two-thirds of the world's population will face water-stressed conditions by 2025
• 4.5 billion people globally live within 50km of an impaired water resource
• Climate change is exacerbating water scarcity, with more frequent and intense droughts
• Water demand is projected to grow by 55% by 2050
• By 2030, global water requirements will exceed current sustainable supplies by 40%

By constructing long-lasting infrastructure, many hygiene, GBV and water insecurity related concerns of communities are alleviated. can towards addressing the water demand. These solutions can be classified into the below three categories:

• Deep Borehole: A borehole is typically 200-500m deep run by an electrical pump. The fenced facility includes an operation room, water filling stations, an elevated water tank along with the pipes system that provide water to nearby villages.
• Rehabilitation of complete water supply system:  Rehabilitation of water wells included supplying pipes and installing a power source, which reduces the electricity interruptions and improves access to drinking water through consistent water supply that delivers water from the source to households.
• Water Treatment units: a system designed to remove contaminants from unsafe water to produce safe clean water for various purposes such as drinking, irrigation, and industrial use.
